A MESSAGE FROM THE CEO
The City Ranch mission is to bring the horses to the children, instead of taking children out of the city. As we pony up for our new season, we want to thank all the people who supported us by coming out to the ranch for lessons this past year. With your support, our lesson revenue increased while our contract revenue was suspended during the school closures. City Ranch has survived this pandemic, improved our facilities and stimulated the local economy by hiring paid staff.
As schools reopen, we will be able to resume our contracts with city communities, the DSS, Recreation and Parks, the Children’s Home and the Seed School. We have been asked to partner with the University of Maryland, Baltimore to offer an Introductory Horsemanship Program. These contracts allow us to serve more children with less cost to us. It also means we will need to increase our herd of horses and make positive changes in our on site lesson program.
We will keep you posted on our continued growth and ways we contribute to the community. All we ask is to spread the word about us and sign up for lessons. We have a staff of instructors who can meet your riding goals and help you advance in your skill level. There is always something new to learn.
We will always need your generous support as we continue to be an affordable program that strives to fulfill its mission while opening up opportunities for accessible and affordable horseback riding to the greater Baltimore community and surrounding counties. Before You Visit
Join us in the saddle! City Ranch has in place the following protocols to ensure a safe environment for all who participate in horseback riding lessons and volunteer with us.
We look forward to seeing you!
Want to support our program? All donations made during this difficult time will go toward the veterinary and dietary care of our trusty herd of 20 horses. For your consideration, $60 pays for a farrier to trim one horse's hooves, and $130 pays for one month's supply of hay for one horse. Please click this link to donate through our secure PayPal platform. Join our volunteer crew and lend a hand while giving back to the community and enjoying the fresh country air!
