A team of talented, experienced professionals and dedicated instructors leads The City Ranch's equestrian program, which includes nationally recognized individuals dedicated to sharing the joy of riding with students of all ages.

In addition to teaching the skills required to ride, each member of the team is deeply committed to the teaching of exceptional horsemanship. Working with individual students, they foster a high level of confidence, competence and character in the ring, paddock or field—qualities which have long-lasting benefits in the barn and on the street.

Ahesahmahk Dahn, Director

The founders of City Ranch, Ahesahmahk and Jean Dahn, have spent over thirty years working with children in the greater Baltimore area. Their experience, combined with city living conditions, led them to want to do more to help refocus and inspire youth and reduce crime. Mr. Dahn founded The City Ranch in 2007 to engage youth in the Baltimore area in horsemanship experiences.

Mr. Dahn oversees all aspects of The City Ranch's administration and operations, including School Programs, Western Riding Lessons, Special Events, the Work-to-Ride Program, and strategic partnerships.

He also serves on the Maryland Horse Industry Board and as a former service member in the U.S. Army, also volunteers in Buffalo Soldier 10th Calvary Regiment historical reenactments.
